Cigars, Whisky & Nasty Women Exhibition Opening

Our ninth exhibition, Cigars, Whisky & Nasty Women: The Three Vices of Bob 5chw4r7z, opened on Fri 27 Jan 2017, coinciding with Walk on Woodburn, the major neighborhood celebration in East Walnut Hills. The show featured mixed media work including one-of-a-kind matchboxes, photographs and quotes, plus mood-setting whisky and nibbles.

The evening was chilly, but the ambience was celebratory as gallery patrons mingled with artwork subjects.

Mr. 5chw4r7z, the exhibiting artist, provided some appropriate adult beverages for guests to enjoy.

Perhaps the highlight of the evening was the catered spread by Oh Little Mustard Seed, whose South Indian treats included “Keema” Samosas with tamarind-date chutney and Uzhunnu Vada bites with coconut chammanthi chutney. These savory treats were miniature but numerous, and gallery guests gleefully feasted throughout the night, enjoying the exotic, vegan fare whether they themselves were vegan or not.

Although, as an art gallery, our primary aim is to present you with compelling contemporary art and artifacts, we were happy and proud to introduce our audience to such delicious fare and hope that you’ll consider working with OLMS on an upcoming event that requires food.

And here is the artist himself, looking dapper in his winter hat:
